Tamaryokucha follows the same manufacturing process as sencha until a certain point. However, it skips the final step of rolling, resulting in a curled shape rather than a twisted one. Notable characteristic of tamaryokucha is its mild and mellow flavor. A rare tea comprising only 2.2% of Japan's total tea production, is primarily produced in the northern to central regions of Kyushu, specifically Saga and Nagasaki Prefectures.
